Over the weekend we did an escape room, my first foray into this new trend in entertainment.  The particular place we went was one that was located in a historic site and they actually themed the escape room around that which was a nice touch.  Based on the cold war and set during the cuban missle crisis, we were in a listening post and had to decipher, unlock and find keys to escape our room and unlock the radio to save the fleet.  It was four of us and four randos but we pulled together and pulled it off.  Supposedly, if the orchestrators were to be believed, only 10% of the people that tried it escaped on the first attempt.  So I guess we were on point because we had just under 5 minutes left when we unlocked the door and escaped.

Overall, an enjoyable experience and something I’d do again, although obviously not that one as now solved, it has no mystery left, but many more abound for escaping pleasure.
