Last week was an odd one as I went up to NYC for a summit regarding AI and digital innovation. I realized I hadn’t been to the memorial so on the day I went up I had some extra time and decided to walk around the city.
The hotel was in Battery Park, a stone-throw’s from the WTC so I just wandered over and got to see the amazing memorial in all it’s glory. It’s quite a water feature and really makes you think when you see the size of it. Along with the WTC, I got pictures all over the burroughs, from wall street to chinatown and over to tribeca, etc. All in all on the first day there I walked about 7.5 miles according to my phone and several more on each subsequent day until I came back.
What’s really crazy is my transportation to and from NYC required walking, taxi, train, metro, bus, and car. Only thing really missing is a plane and boat? Oh well, it was a decent time even if I got blisters on my feet from all the walking.
