For lunch today, we stopped at Smashburger. I tried it once a few years ago and it was alright. Went there today for lunch and their normal bare bones burger price isn’t horrible, but when you go to add fries and a drink you can make it a combo for $4.29 extra.  Over $4 to make it a combo. I guess I’m getting old since my frame of reference for what’s fair has changed so much over my life, but $4.29 can still buy a full meal some places.  That said, despite their menu being incorrect and prices being a bit high for a burger joint, the meal itself was decent.  It seem like only yesterday Five Guys was good and a bargain, now it’s only good.  Getting older combined with inflation sucks for a tightwad like me.
